API Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-12. By creating or using an API key you agree to these terms.
1. Free tier: personal, non-commercial use only
A free key may be used only for personal projects: your own collection tools, learning, experiments and hobby apps you don't charge for or monetize. Commercial use includes, for example: a product or service you sell, a store or marketplace, an app or site with ads, subscriptions or paid features, use inside a company's tools, or reselling or redistributing the data. Commercial use requires a paid plan.
2. Paid plans
Indie and Studio keys may be used commercially, inside your own products and services, within your plan's monthly request limit. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled from the billing portal. The data itself may not be resold or redistributed as a dataset or a competing API.
3. What each plan includes
Free: English cards and sets. Indie: all languages and every printing (variants). Studio: everything in Indie plus card images. Limits and prices are on the pricing page.
4. How we monitor use
To run the service and enforce these terms, we record each key's request counts and, per day, where requests come from (the calling website's hostname, if any, and a one-way hash of the calling IP address). We use this to detect free keys used commercially, for example from a public website or from many machines. We don't sell this information.
5. Enforcement
If a free key appears to be used commercially, we'll contact the email on the key and ask you to move to a paid plan. We may limit, suspend or revoke keys that break these terms, share keys publicly, or try to get around limits (for example by creating multiple free keys).
6. The data
Card names, numbers and set information are provided as-is, and we work to keep them accurate but can't guarantee it. Pokémon card artwork belongs to its owners; card images on the Studio plan are provided for display alongside the card data. Prices, where included, are estimates, not offers.
7. Changes
We may update these terms or plans. For a material change we'll email the address on your key before it takes effect.
